APLM GAMES
Description:
Educational and cooperative games that promote ocean literacy.
We offer four games co-created with students from various educational levels as part of a funded project (www.aplm-edumar.org).
Designed for all age groups and a variety of settings, these games include dozens of questions and facts that enrich understanding and awareness of the ocean. They feature multiple challenges to be tackled in an eco-solidary and cooperative way — as an alternative to traditional competition.
The games are available individually or as a bundled set of four.
- Game 1: Sea Adventures (Aventuras pelo Mar)
Ages 3–10 | Preschool and 1st Cycle
- Save the Animals – Ages 3–6 (Preschool)
- Island of Cooperation – Ages 6–10 (1st Cycle)
A giant floor board game filled with adventures and challenges that encourage learning through play in a cooperative setting. Children work together to save marine animals in danger and dive into a clean, pollution-free ocean.
- Game 2: Clean Sea (Mar Limpo)
Ages 10–13 | 2nd Cycle
A tabletop board game where ocean animals, concerned about marine pollution, come together and decide to take action. Players must cooperate and overcome a series of challenges to remove waste from the “Sea Box” — and in the end, unlock the Treasure Chest!
- Game 3: CCO – Ocean Cooperation Centre
Ages 10–13 | 3rd Cycle and Secondary Education
A tabletop board game where players work together to remove pollution from the ocean and plastic from the Turtle. The game includes many questions and creative challenges that require cooperation and knowledge about marine pollution and ocean conservation.
- Game 4: Dive to Discover (Pedipaper)
Ages 14+ | Secondary Education
An exploratory pedipaper-style game that can be played anywhere. Players take on the role of scientists who dive into the ocean, solve riddles, and uncover clues to work together in saving the ocean.
