WAVE – Working Together for Action and Voices in Environmental Leadership brings together young people, environmental action and inclusion to give the next generation a more active role in protecting our coast.
The project will establish and pilot a Youth Environmental Hub in Almada — a safe and inclusive space where young people aged 16–30 can learn about marine litter, coastal protection and climate change, develop new skills and turn their ideas into real local action.
Through WAVE, we aim to strengthen APLM’s capacity to work with young people, empower a new generation of environmental leaders, support youth-led initiatives and create opportunities for learning and exchange between Portugal and Slovenia.
The ambition is simple: to create an inclusive model of youth environmental participation that can continue beyond the project and inspire other coastal communities.
